Was Cleopatra so Extravagant after all?

Was Cleopatra so Extravagant after all?

It is said that Cleopatra bathed in donkey’s milk every day for the vitality and beauty of her skin.

More than 700 donkeys were needed to be milked on a daily basis just to provide the quantity of milk necessary for her bath so legend has it.

However, was this really so extravagant? In todays market Cleopatra’s bath in Donkey’s milk would cost around £1,800, however for real extravagance, bathing in Prickly Pear Seed Oil this cost would be been around £480,000.
