Why We Love Sea Buckthorn Oil
One of the only oils to contain all four types of omega fatty acids — omega 3, omega 6, omega 7, and omega 9.
This gentle oil is multi tasking, helping to soothe eczema, treat acne, repair sun damage and rebuild collagen for a more youthful appearance.
Sea Buckthorn Seed Oil or Fruit Oil?
We first started to formulate with the Sea Buckthorn seed oil, this can be derived from both the seed and fruit.
The fruit oil is a dark orange in colour and due to the high carotenoids it has a high viscous consistency, whereas the seed oil is a pale yellow colour and has a lower viscosity.
The seed produces a lighter oil, however after multiple testing, we discovered that the seed oil is not as effective for the skin as the oil produced from the fruit.
This left us with a dilemma as the fruit derived oil, if not massaged in properly, may leave a stain on your clothes or bed-linen.
Quality over Quantity
It would have been easy for us to go with the less expensive, and much more commonly used (however less effective) seed oil however, knowing our customers demand quality over quantity we opted for the fruit oil.
Nourishing , hydrating and protecting.
It delivers visible results for a supple complexion and long lasting radiance.
